Here are some pictures & updates of Katie enjoying her new family...

Meet Katie:

She was born in the middle of September. We don't who daddy was but mommy Christy is a 20 lbs American Eskimo mix. She was rescued from the San Antonio Animal Control. She is one the little ones are getting good start in life. Already paper trained...have been since they were able to walk to the newspaper...I am sooooo proud of them! ;) Started the crate training and soon will start on commands. These babies will be no trouble at all...maybe a bit head strong...but aren't all Eskies? lol It is nice to be able to give these a great start! Katie is definitely the go getter...always up to something...her and Ryan are already running around the foyer...will have to make the play area a bit bigger and include a crate to start training them about that too...everyone likes to have a room to go to for their own space. LOL Katie has claimed the scale as her high mountain from the rest of the pups...if she thinks someone is getting up there, she will run and jump up there before they can lay down so she can lay there first. ;) What a stinker...does have a lot of her namesake's behaviors. She is really curious about EVERY thing and wants to be in the middle of the action.

UPDATE: 12-10-05
Katie has been adopted by the most wonderful family! The whole family (except one, who had to stay at school, but she was rewarded with all kinds of puppy pictures!!) came to visit a couple of weeks ago and played with ALL the puppies...just to make sure that they could find the "right" new little furry baby for them. They had a really tough choice deciding as all of Katie's brothers and sisters were all trying to steal their hearts away...in the end, only Katie knew exactly what to do! We will keep that a secret because her other brothers and sisters plan to try it on you! ;)
Early this morning, new sister, Hannah and Daddy drove from Austin to pick up their little sweetie! Katie was ready for them...all smiles and licks! As she left...Katie discovered 'windows'!! She will have a lot to learn about in her life but with her new family to support her...she will enjoy life to the fullest! Yep, she was already being spoiled rotten when she left our house!!! Hannah got first shift, holding Katie in her arms for the long drive home to Austin. This morning was reserved for dad and sister...this evening, her new mommy and brother get a shift! We are wondering who she will convience to sleep with her tonight! We are very happy for little Katie to have such a great beginning in her life and of course, we were promised updates AND pictures!!! ;)

Hi, Carol.
Thanks for the additional information.  It will come
in handy as Katie gets used to her new surroundings.

As I mentioned on the phone, her first 24 hours here
have been absolutely delightful.  You obviously did a
wonderful job of both socializing her and training her
in many of the basics like paper use (not a single
accident) and sleeping in her crate.  We have kept her
very busy with lots of play and activities.  She is
enjoying the endless array of new smells and sights.
She seems especially fascinated by doors (like
refrigerator, pantry, back, etc.) and windows, which
she hasn't quite figured out yet.

Most of all, though, it is obvious that she loves
people.  She is always following one of us around,
interested in what we are doing.  She seems especially
taken with Tami and Hannah, probably a reflection of
the great affection and attention you provider her.
She slept in her crate last night and only stirred
once around 3:00 a.m.  I got up, we talked awhile, I
gave her some soothing pats, and she was back to sleep
for the rest of the night.

In short, she is everything we had hoped for and more.
Thanks again for providing her to us.
Hope you enjoy the pictures.  Let me know, too, if you
have a hi-speed internet link so we can send you some
of the videos we have already taken.

Best regards,

Brad.
