Update: Max has been adopted by the most wonderful mommy and daddy!!  I have already gotten updates that will be on our main website next week!  He is in great hands!  FINALLY Max will be cherished the way he should have been from the beginning!

Max was rescued from the San Antonio Animal Control. He is a young corgi/eskie mix who just stole our hearts with his cute little tail wag and smile! Max is good with other dogs...hates not being in the center of attention but deals with it well. ;) We would love to see Max finally find the home that he deserves...if you are interested in meeting or adopting Max, please contact us for an application and we can get the process started for you to have a new family member!

Gracie!

Hi Carol

Thank you for the call this morning, and I checked Max out as you suggested ...and he's adorable!! I want to thank you as well for all the information you gave me regarding the breed and such, you were so helpful. I looked at Bianca as well, and she was so sweet! I see what you mean about her, and she looks perfect for us as well.  So either of them we would be interested in for sure.

Could you please send me a application so I can pre-fill it and we can start this process going? And if we could set up a appointment for Saturday sometime that would be wonderful.

Thank you again!!

Linda

Hi Carol...

Both of my friends got back to me after we spoke this morning, so I thought I would send this off to you so that you can know more about us.  We are looking so forward to meeting you on Saturday as well and meeting Bianca and Max. (I think we are leaning more towards Bianca , but who knows!!)

I found a picture of my Schipperke , Gracie from years ago, and I thought you would like to see her. She loved the camera, and in this picture she was freshly groomed so she posed really pretty .

Looking forward to meeting you Saturday!!

Max with his new Dad!

Nice pic! thank you!! here is Cilantro's first pic....he just hopped up on the couch and made himself right at home! Hes a sweetie and we love him to bits!!

His first night went wonderfully, he zonked out..probably from all the stress in the new envoironment, and us. (And today he has been chasing a fly that somehow got in here...lol..and having a grand time.)  He is one big love sponge and we are so happy, and from what I can tell, so is he!

Thank you again for all you did for us. Your a wonderful person.  Keep in touch!!

Hi Carol!!

Just a short note to touch base with you, and to let you know Cilantro has fit in here like a good already!) He is so well behaved, and is starting to respond to his new name. He lets me know when he needs out, and so far has not had one accident in the house. I left him alone yesterday for a couple hours to see how he did on his own, and he was fine! No barking or scratching the door when I left...he was perfect! He is so laid back, snoozes a lot..not sure yet if thats his personality and normal behaviour for him or not, he does not tear around the house like a maniac, and he loves to cuddle. I have to pinch myself to make sure he's real..I have never had a dog before with such good manners. You have done a wonderful job with him and I am grateful.

Remember I told you about that seizure he took Sunday? I mentioned it to you when you called, well Sunday evening he had another one. I am hoping its not epilepsy or something awful like that, but I will mention it to the vet when I take him to make sure he's ok. You said he had not had that previously, so I hope it was just the heat and excitement of a new home. He's been fine since, today he is eating a bit more, and starting to play with his new toys. He is adjusting well, but these things take time as we know.

Anywho this was just a quickie note to let you know he is wonderful and we love him to bits and it seems according to all the licks we get the feeling is mutual. Thank you again for bringing him into our lives.

Hi Carol!

Cilantro Hoyos, (aka Max) .( lol ) is just fine!!  His visit went well with the vet, she thinks the seizures boil down to excitment, and all the new changes in his environment. And I think that could be it as well, but to monitor him, and if we see any more happening, then we would consider all the blood work etc. We shall see, time will tell.

Cilantro does have a infection in his right ear, and that was cleaned out, and we have drops for that that we put in every morning and night for 7 days and that should get rid of the infection. The vet also figures his age about 2-4 yrs old, according to his teeth with the plaque, but again, she said its hard to tell. He is a total sweetie though, he rides well in the car, and he is just so well behaved that its a joy to take him anywhere. I know he is the perfect addition to our home, and again thank you for rescuing him for us to find him.

Have a great day!!

Roy & Linda
